quotes That bit at the begining about the time lapse and slow motion was pretty darn funny.

quotes Instead of being a hater on people with beliefs, why don't you try instead to appreciate the spiritual emotions stired by the imagery that ZachHinton11 was trying to express. Although Zach's comments do seem to suggest worship of one particular deity, the underlying theme of his post, really, was to appreciate the beauty of nature and be grateful for every day we have, which is a theme of spirituality that should be common among all mankind, regardless of whether or not you subsricbe to religious beliefs. Stop hating. There is room here for ALL beliefs, except hate.

quotes NIce write-up, good to see honest reporting of the product impression. But, 2 days of testing, and there wasn't an opportunity to do back-to-back runs with increased air pressure, in order to test out the Mark Jordan's assertions about increasing the air pressure not negatively impacting the sensitivity?

quotes The article suggest this bike is a single pivot, but it's not exatly a single pivot, is it? After all, I do see an additional pivot located near the drop-outs. I would imagine this would help quite a bit to keep the suspension more neutral under braking.

quotes While more competition equates to lower prices, increasing the number of standards can increase prices. This boils down to production costs and the manufacturing process. Eg. It would (conceptually) cost a manufacturer more to produce 500 26" rims and 500 650b rims than it would to simply produce 1000 26" rims. But, does this mean everyone should ride bikes that are all exactly the same, just because it would potentially lower the price? I'm pretty sure the general consensus is "no".

quotes I love with the artwork.

quotes One major problem with the direct mount stem. It's doesn't have removable cap. While I'm sure that must save about 10g or so, it's going to make certain aspects of maintenance, or even bike packing, a pain the butt, as everything mounted to the bar (grips, shifters, brakes etc) will have to be removed from the bar in order to remove the bar from the stem. For some people, this won't be a big deal, but for me personally, I'll stick with a stem that's a bit more user-friendly.

quotes Pimpedaline: Bump shift huh? Never happened to me once, whether riding on a hard tail xc bike, or down the nastiest of trails on my dh bike. Only reason I ever switched off grip shift is to have more flexibility/room to get my brakes in a better position (grip shift interfered with my Strokers, I couldn't get the brakes outboard enough to reach properly). Dave: The article makes reference to two groups of people, those old enough to have used grip shift to know better, and those too young to have ever used. You obviously fall into the latter, and it's a shame that you don't know what you're missing. Even if you did try them and didn't like them, at least you'd know better than to try to associate them with some POS department store bike.

quotes I've been asking myself for a very long time why someone didn't come up with a suspension design that incorporated all these characteristics. It's exactly what I've been looking for. Nicely done. I hope my ride holds out for a few more years until you can get this design to market.

quotes If the 32 doesn't cut it, just run it with a Talas 36 160mm. Stiff, plus travel adjust to increase climbing capabilities. To me, introducing a 34 to fill the perceived void between 32 and 36 seems like more of a marketing ploy aimed at hardcore gram-counters than than something that is actually a relevant product to the majority of consumers.

All information about accommodations are on the ABA tech guide. The comfort inn on 67th and highway 2 is offering 119 a night with complimentary hot breakfast and there's a couple campgrounds that are not too far like Lions campground and Riverview Campground.

Hey Steve, Actually I don't. I did talk to Stephen a few months back and they were organizing it but I'm not sure where they are on their process. Try calling Josh at the ABA to find out. If I hear anything I'll let you know.

Trying to get word on this, so far with no luck. I'll try, but will be out of town for the next week or so.

Hey Steve, the Jedi has some "anti-squat" built in for pedalling efficiency, which translates to a little bit of jack, but it's not very noticeable. Far less noticeable than say, my heckler. I find it extremely active when I puss out and have to brake through the rough stuff.

Put it this way, every single other bike I've ridden since I got my first F1 has felt brutally slow.

Thanks for the feedback on your truck setup. I'm not sure what I will end up with, but I may also look into a North-Shore style rack as I am looking for a canopy for my truck as well. The wife says a canopy is gay (she has a point) but I can't deny that they are hand for keeping the goods dry.
